State Rehabilitation Services Relocates Visual Services Offices Serving People With Disabilities
ENID, Okla. The Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS)
relocated its Visual Services (VS) office formerly located on west Maple to 124
North Oakwood.
The VS office provides vocational rehabilitation employment services for
individuals with visual impairments living in Alfalfa, Beaver, Blaine, Cimarron,
Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Kay, Kingfisher, Major, Noble, Texas, Woods and
Woodward Counties.
The Vocation Rehabilitation office will remain at 225 West Maple and provides
similar services as VS to people with all other disabilities.
The new office is located in the same shopping center as the new Evans Pharmacy
at the intersection of Randolph and Oakwood, between the Allstate office and the
Headhunters Barber Shop.
The new telephone number for the office is 580.234.6754. The number is also
accessible by telecommunications equipment for the deaf.
Last year, the Department of Rehabilitation Services provided assistance to
68,753 Oklahomans through vocational rehabilitation, employment, independent
living, residential and outreach educational programs and the determination of
medical eligibility for disability benefits. For general information visit
