2012 Graduating Class from the Oklahoma School for the Blind

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Oklahoma School for the Blind is proud to announce that Class of 2012 will hold its commencement ceremony at noon, May 24, 2012 in OSB auditorium, at 3300 Gibson Street, Muskogee, Okla.

The OSB 2012 graduating class includes Jamie Bronson of Broken Arrow, Courtney Hagen of Shawnee, Luke Hayes of Broken Arrow, Whittney Lassetter of Muskogee, Cammie Loehr of Lawton, Caitlin Mathews of Caddo, Kim McCall of Mustang, Jasmine Rahseparian of Norman, Chris Smith of Muskogee and Taylor Smith of Broken Arrow.

“The Oklahoma School for the Blind graduating class 2012 is very excited about undertaking their next adventure. They all have big plans and dreams and we wish them all the best,” James Adams, OSB superintendent, said.

OSB is a division of the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), a state agency which assists Oklahomans with disabilities through vocational rehabilitation, education, employment, independent living programs and the determination of medical eligibility for disability benefits.

OSB was founded in 1897 at Fort Gibson as a private school for children who are blind or visually impaired. Over the past 100 years, the school has provided education programs at no charge for thousands of students with visual disabilities, from students who attend school on campus to those served through outreach programs for families, public school teachers and communities statewide.
