Ability Resources’ mission is to assist people with disabilities in attaining and maintaining their personal independence through advocacy, education and service. One way this can be achieved is in the creation of an environment in which people with disabilities can exercise their rights to control and direct their own lives.
Dynamic Independence is a non-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities and their families in Washington, Nowata, and Craig counties in Oklahoma.
The Mission of Oklahomans for Independent Living is to encourage individuals of all ages, with all types of disabilities, to increase:
*Empowerment and self determination; and
*Full integration and participation in their work, community, school and home activities.
A community-based, cross-disability, nonresidential, non-profit agency designed and operated by individuals with disabilities to provide an array of independent living services.
The mission of Sandra Beasley Independent Living Center is to instill inclusion, empowerment and independence in individuals with any disability.
The Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) and the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services jointly prepare a state plan for provision of independent living services to individuals with disabilities. SILC works with regional independent living centers and other entities to promote implementation of the state plan for independent living.
