Whereas, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Rehabilitation Act both provide for transition services for children with disabilities to facilitate the child's movement from school to post-school activities including employment, 20 U.S.C. § 1401(34) and 29 U.S.C. § 721 (a)(11)(D); and WHEREAS, the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services is authorized by rules promulgated by the Oklahoma Commission for Rehabilitation Services, O.A.C. 612:10-7, and by the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation Services to implement the Transition from School-to-Work Program.
